Video: ‘The Voice’ Coaches And Jimmy Fallon Sing The Ultimate Mash-Up
The coaches of The Voice have been discovering and cultivating new talent season after season, and Monday night they reminded us all why they’re the right ones for the job. Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Jennifer Hudson got out from behind their red swivel chairs and onto The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for an a cappella mash-up of some of their most popular songs.
While house band, The Roots, were on hand to provide beatboxing and backing vocals, Fallon and Co. harmonized their way through Hudson’s song Spotlight, Clarkson’s Stronger, Shelton’s I’ll Name the Dogs, and the Maroon 5 classic, She Will Be Loved, all while segmented in Brady Bunch theme song fashion. Bringing his signature humor to the medley, the comedian donned a cowboy hat and southern accent while singing Blake’s section of the bubbly pop mega-song, and even got The Voice host Carson Daly got in on the fun by clapping–just clapping–along to the delightfully catchy medley. Jimmy Fallon has done split-screen sing-alongs before, Paul McCartney and Miley Cyrus are just a couple examples, but this is definitely the biggest one yet.
