Season 18 of The Voice continued this week with another round of blind auditions, and it looks like Kelly Clarkson vs. Nick Jonas is the big rivalry this time around. Of course, Blake Shelton couldn’t help getting involved.
We’re used to seeing Kelly and Blake fight over contestants, but this season Kelly and Nick have been turning around for many of the same artists. Last week, Nick blocked Kelly on an audition to her own song. This week, the competition between them continued, with Blake consistently taking Nick’s side.
‘The Voice’ Week 2 Blind Auditions
Allegra Miles (Team Nick)
This 16-year-old has a musical family, and is already gigging. She performed “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon on the keyboard. Kelly and Nick both turned around for her, and Kelly said Allegra reminded her of former winner Brynn Cartelli. Allegra ended up picking Nick as her coach.
CammWess (Team Legend)
This 21-year-old is involved in sports and studies music education in college. For his blind audition, he performed “Earned It” by The Weeknd. John Legend and Blake both turned around. Kelly remarked that he actually sounded like John. CammWess said John is an influence for him, so he chose to join his team.
This young singer from a musical family performed “Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves” by Cher. Blake turned around and blocked Nick, who was disappointed when he turned his chair. Kelly said she thought Joei sounded much older. Joei automatically joined Team Blake.
Sara Collins (Team Kelly)
This 18-year-old recent high school grad performed “Johnny and June” by Heidi Newfield. Kelly and Nick both turned around for her, as they continue their rivalry this season. Sara said both coaches were a big part of her childhood, but she chose to join Team Kelly.

Jamal Corrie (Team Blake)
This singer supports his family through street performing. He auditioned with “Be Alright” by Dean Lewis, and got a chair turn from Blake, automatically joining his team. The coach said he thinks Jamal’s confidence will grow as he performs on the show.
This singer joined the army at 18 years old. He’ll soon retire, and wants to embark on a music career. He performed “Lately” by Stevie Wonder and turned Kelly and Nick’s chairs. Samuel chose Team Nick, because he says his kids love him.

Thunderstorm Artis (Team Legend)
Thunderstorm comes from a family of 11 kids, and everyone plays music. He started singing after his father passed away unexpectedly when he was 13 years old. He performed “Blackbird” by the Beatles and turned all four coaches’ chairs. Kelly said Thunderstorm could win the show. Thunderstorm chose John.
What did you think of the second week of auditions? Do you have a favorite team so far? Were you disappointed that there was only one four-chair turn this time? Let us know in the comments.
