‘The Voice’ Judge John Legend Shares Heartfelt Moments With Family After Losing Third Child

John Legend was joined by his wife Chrissy Teigen and kids Luna and Miles during a performance at a Philadelphia rally. The Voice judge specifically asked for his family to come up to the stage during his song “Never Break.” The moment was bittersweet after pregnancy complications caused them to lose their third child on the way.
‘The Voice’ Judge John Legend And Chrissy Teigen Stepped Out Together Publicly
Previously John dedicated a performance of “Never Break” to Chrissy at the Billboard Music Awards. This came after the couple announced they had lost their third child, Jack due to pregnancy complications. Chrissy had been bleeding throughout the pregnancy and was put on bed rest before the tragic day came. The couple has previously been laying pretty low on social media as they mourn the loss of their baby.
But they stepped out for the first time together in public as a family. “I want to send a shoutout — actually, can you come onstage, baby?” John asked. “I want you guys to see, my wife is here. My daughter, Luna, is here. My son, Miles, is here.”

Chrissy wore a white jacket with a white flowy skirt and a black face mask amid the coronavirus pandemic. Luna looked adorable in a pink furry jacket with a white bow in her hair while Miles wore a puffer jacket and UGG boots. The family was also joined by Chrissy’s mother Vilailuck Teigen who lives with them.
John was later joined on stage by rapper Common to perform their Oscar-winning song “Glory” from the movie “Selma.” After John’s performance, Chrissy posted on Instagram that the family was indulging on Philly cheesesteaks and onion rings from Tony Luke’s.
The Couple Recently Got Tattoos To Honor Jack’s Memory
Chrissy posted a video on Twitter talking about her “naturally frowny mouth.” She later replied to her tweet with a picture of her new tattoo on her wrist that says “Jack” in cursive.
John also got the same tattoo on his wrist which was done by tattoo artist Winter Stone. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,” Chrissy wrote after losing Jack. “To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
The couple previously did not have names picked out for Luna and Miles ahead of time but said that this pregnancy was different. They referred to the baby as Jack while it was in Chrissy’s stomach and the name just stuck.

John has continued his work on The Voice while grieving but their strong family bond has helped them get through this difficult time together.
