America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell underwent back surgery about two months ago, and he’s been keeping a low profile as he recovers. However, his fiancée Lauren Silverman recently shared some new family photos which feature Cowell.
Simon Cowell Appears in New Photos After Surgery
In early September, Simon Cowell underwent an operation on his back that relates to his 2020 electric bike accident. He had to miss a number of AGT live shows due to the surgery, and he has been replaced by guest judge Bradley Walsh for first batch of new Britain’s Got Talent auditions.
In October, Cowell’s longtime partner Lauren Silverman wished him a happy 67th birthday, but she did not give fans an update on his health following the operation. Over the weekend, however, Silverman posted several new photos which show Cowell looking happy and healthy as he enjoys a beach day with his family.
“Scenes from a dream. October half term edition,” Silverman captioned the post, adding, “Feeling incredibly grateful, happy and at peace with life right now.”
In the first photo, Cowell and Silverman pose for a selfie together. In another shot, Cowell can be seen holding a tennis racket on the beach alongside one of the couple’s dogs. Other photos feature the couple’s 12-year-old son Eric and Silverman’s older son Adam.

Cowell Will Be Back on BGT Next Year
Auditions for BGT Series 20 started filming last month, with TV presenter Bradley Walsh sitting on the panel as a guest judge while Cowell had to sit out the first auditions. Walsh said in an Instagram video after his time judging the show that he “thoroughly enjoyed it.”
However, the auditions aren’t over yet. The judges will return to Winter Gardens in Blackpool in January to watch even more acts take the stage. Simon Cowell is expected to be back on the panel for this second round of filming, alongside Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI.
