‘The Voice’ Coach Turns At Very LAST Second For 18 YO Singing His Song

It is such a risk to perform a coach’s song on a talent show but sometimes it pays off. Frances Wood made the bold move of auditioning for The Voice UK with “Where Is The Love” by The Black Eyed Peas in 2012. Singing in front of will.i.am, the lead member of the iconic music group led to one of the most epic chair turns ever.
Frances Wood Sang will.i.am’s Song During ‘The Voice UK’ Audition
At just 18 years old, Frances already proved that she was ready to take on The Voice UK with her strong sense of confidence. Right as the music started, will.i.am realized that Frances was about to perform one of his songs. All of the coaches began moving their heads and vibing along to the song as all attention was on will.i.am and whether or not he would turn his chair.

“Is it a boy or a girl?” Jessie J asked as she contemplated turning her chair. Danny O’Donoghue asked her if she was going to turn her chair. They both were thinking about it. Towards the end of the performance, Frances shouted “come on, Will” which made him laugh in his chair. Just when it looked like none of the coaches were going to turn their chairs, will.i.am turned his chair during the very last note of the song.
In The Battle Rounds, Frances sang “Ironic” against Kate Read. Frances was voted the winner of the Battle and was headed into the Live Shows.
She was eliminated in the third week of the Live Shows after her performance of “Show Me Love.”
Frances Defended Her Coach After She Was Eliminated From The Show
After will.i.am faced criticism for not spending enough time with the members of his team, Frances defended him in an interview with Digital Spy. “His manager spoke to me backstage and he said keep in touch with Will,” she said. “He’s said he wants to work with all ten of us who were in his team. He seems like he’s genuine and we all hope that it will happen.”
“He was around as much as the other coaches,” she said. “And we all understand that will.i.am is a very busy man. He is probably tired most of the time as well. He’d fly from the studio straight to America and then he’d come straight back.”
After the show, Frances uploaded a few covers on YouTube. She aimed to focus on her music and acting career.
She returned to YouTube recently with a stunning singing video.
