‘The Voice’ Alum RaeLynn Welcomes First Child Along with New Music

The Voice alum, Racheal Lynn Woodward, or RaeLynn welcomed her first child with husband Josh Davis on September 8. She took to Instagram to reveal a number of adorable family photos in celebration of the new arrival. The singer first announced her pregnancy while celebrating her 27th birthday on May 4. Today, she enjoys her new bundle of joy while also dropping some new music.
RaeLynn Welcomes Newborn Daughter
Proud parents RaeLynn and Davis, announced the birth of their first born child, Daisy, to fans on social media:
“7 Pounds 7 ounces at 4:07 p.m. September 8th 2021 we became a family of three! These two are my world. I am beyond thankful for my husband and all the doctors, nurses and our amazing doula @mollyburg17 for helping us bring miss Daisy into the world 🌼 babies are truly a gift. So thankful for our little blonde miracle â¤ï¸ now back to tired selfies, baby snuggles and changing diapers! Love y’all!”
In 2012, RaeLynn joined Team Blake on the second season of The Voice. Her coach, Blake Shelton, and now-wife Gwen Stefani even attended her wedding to Davis in 2016.
Aside from her responsibilities as a new mom, RaeLynn also continues to drop new music. Following her Baytown EP, the singer dropped her latest single “Only in a Small Town” just last month. This comes in anticipation to the artist’s new album. The full body of work will be available on September 24.
The Country Singer’s Journey on ‘The Voice’
RaeLynn was a standout contestant on season two of The Voice. In her blind audition, she sang “Hell on Heels” by Pistol Annies, Miranda Lambert’s group. Both Adam Levine and Shelton turned their chairs for RaeLynn, but ultimately, she chose Team Blake. In the battle rounds she performed “Free Fallin” against Adley Stump and won.
In the live shows she performed “Wake Up Call” by Maroon 5 and “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean. The latter became her best selling cover on the show. For her final performance, she sang “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry. In the end, she lost out in the votes against Erin Willett and was eliminated. Nevertheless, RaeLynn’s career and family life continue to thrive.
