‘The Voice’ Alum Brayden Lape Releases Debut Single ‘Hand It to Ya’

The Voice Season 22 alum Brayden Lape has released his debut single, a song called “Hand It to Ya.” The singer’s former coach Blake Shelton shared the track on Instagram this week. Brayden co-wrote the song with his fellow finalist Morgan Myles.
Brayden Lape Releases Debut Single ‘Hand It to Ya’
Brayden made it all the way to the Finals of Season 22 on Team Blake last year. On Monday, Shelton shared Brayden’s new song on Instagram, writing, “First single from @brayden_lape24!!! Congrats buddy!!!!”
The 16-year-old co-wrote the new track “Hand It to Ya” with fellow Season 22 finalist Morgan Myles, as well as musician Bill DiLuigi. Myles also produced the track with Nate Dodge. Back in December, Myles and Brayden posted clips from the studio and the set of a music video.
“‘Cause you’re that extra mile off 94 / It’s what the long way home is for / Just to be with ya / Girl, I gotta hand it to ya,” Brayden sings on the heartfelt country track. “Your favorite song’s from my guitar / Take all my time, the moon, and the stars / Whatever moves ya / Girl, I gotta hand it to ya.”

Brayden, Myles Are Playing Shows Together
Earlier this month, Myles announced that she would be performing several shows with Brayden as a special guest on the East Coast this June. You can go here to see the dates and buy tickets.
Myles competed on Camila Cabello’s team during Season 22 of The Voice, coming in third place behind Team Blake’s runner-up Bodie and winner Bryce Leatherwood. Brayden, meanwhile, came in fifth place, behind Team Legend’s Omar Jose Cardona.
Earlier this year, Myles made her Grand Ole Opry debut at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Myles posted on Instagram that she was “proud” to be involved with Brayden’s debut single.
