Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice has shared an early release clip from next week’s Knockout round, as Team Kelly members Cait Martin and Kala Banham deliver amazing individual performances for a chance to stay in the competition.
Team Kelly Members Perform in The Voice Knockout
In the Knockouts, two members of a team sing separately, and their coach has to choose one of them to keep on their team. In this case, coach Kelly Clarkson was tasked with choosing between Cait Martin and Kala Banham.
Cait kicked things off with a cover of “All the Man That I Need” by Whitney Houston. She delivered an incredible vocal performance and showed off a great stage presence. Kala followed her with an emotional performance of “Iris” by The Goo Goo Dolls, showing both softness and strength.
“I’m so angry. You both did such a great job,” Clarkson told the two singers after their performances. Then it was time for the other coaches to share their thoughts about who she should choose as the Knockout winner.

Meanwhile, Niall Horan told Cait that she “absolutely smashed” her rendition of the song. He also praised Kala’s “storytelling ability,” saying that would make him choose her as the winner. Chance the Rapper called Cait’s performance “spot-on Whitney,” adding that he thought she was the winner.
Clarkson described the singers as “two different ninjas.” She said she thought Cait “killed it,” but called Kala “one of my favorite storytellers I’ve ever worked with.” Clarkson added that neither singer deserves to go home.
