Team Adam Artists Battle in The Voice Early Release Clip
Britton Moore was a four-chair turn in his audition to “Yellow” by Coldplay, ultimately choosing to join Adam Levine’s team. Darius J also impressed with his audition to “Caught Up” by Usher, turning three coaches’ chairs and picking Levine’s team.
Both Britton and Darius begin their Battle to “Creep” with a quieter, more understated approach, still showing off their impressive vocal talent. The performance gradually builds power as the song goes on, as the two singers show off some great harmonies and ultimately display the ultimate power of their voices.
“Both of you have a great shot at winning this show,” Kelsea Ballerini told the singers after their performance, which earned a standing ovation from the coaches. “You’re not on my team. It makes me sad. Maybe we can change that, I don’t know.”
Coach Michael Bublé described Darius as “a chef who loves what he’s cooking, but even more loves who he’s cooking for.” He said he initially he thought that Darius was the obvious winner, but when Britton hit his high note, he realized Levine would have a tough decision to make.
John Legend told Darius that he “made some really creative choices with how you styled the song.” He said that Britton’s voice was “so connected and powerful,” praising his high note as “stunning.” Legend said he would choose Britton as the winner.
Levine said the artists “executed it so beautifully,” adding how proud he is of the two singers. We’ll have to wait until Monday’s new episode of the show on NBC to find out who he chose to keep on his team.
