Dancing with the Stars Season 27 winner Bobby Bones has been reunited with his Mirrorball trophy following a months-long drama over comments from former host Tom Bergeron. Bones posted the exciting news on Instagram.
DWTS Winner Bobby Bones Gets Mirrorball Trophy Back
The saga involving Bobby Bones’ Mirrorball trophy dates back all the way to last November, when former DWTS host Tom Bergeron was quoted as saying that Bones’ win in Season 27 with partner Sharna Burgess was one of the most shocking moments he witnessed on the show.
Bones responded to Bergeron, calling his remark “hurtful” and saying he “sent the trophy back to ABC.” Since then, Bones and Bergeron have made up, and Bones said in May that he wished he had the trophy back, explaining that he had just undergone surgery at the time and was “probably not my best.”
Last week, Bones took to Instagram to share a photo of himself posing on a sofa with the Mirrorball trophy beside him, writing in the caption, “Look what just came in the mail.” Tom Bergeron jokingly commented on the post, “And…scene!”

Is Bones Returning for Season 35?
One interesting detail in Bobby Bones’ Instagram post about his Mirrorball trophy is that DWTS appears to have included a message when sending it back. A card in front of the trophy reads, “Run it back?” In the bottom right corner is the number 35.
Fans of the show will recognize that the show is returning for Season 35 in September. Is this a sign that Bones will be returning to the ballroom in some capacity for the new competition? The radio host didn’t reveal anything about this, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
