The Cotton Candy has been one of the standout performers on the very first season of The Masked Dancer. Her incredible dance moves and athleticism has led many people to wonder which celebrity is under the mask. Now, after the clues and little hints dropped here and there, we know the identity of The Cotton Candy.
Who Is The Cotton Candy On ‘The Masked Dancer’?
If you watched last week’s recap show, we predicted that The Cotton Candy is three-time Olympic medalist Gabby Douglas. It wasn’t just the clues that were featured in the clue packages that led us to this theory about the 25-year-old gymnast. She also has been dropping little hints on her Instagram page that prove she is The Cotton Candy.

Gabby competed in her first Olympics in 2012 in London. This explains the English breakfast clues, the references to America including flags and the clear athletic abilities that she posses. She moved away from her family as a kid to train in all-around gymnastics which she mentioned in the clue packages. The clue packages are all pretty spot on once you really sit and take a look at all of the subtle nods to her gymnastics career and beyond.
Let’s face it, The Cotton Candy has proven that she has years of experience working on her flexibility. Gabby continuously posts videos and pictures flaunting her gymnast abilities. Recently, she did some incredible yoga poses balancing on her hands.
But the biggest clue of all that Gabby dropped is a recent Instagram story. It features four pictures of the gymnast doing some dance-related poses. These poses may look eerily familiar because they are the same poses that The Cotton Candy does in all of the promotional images for The Masked Dancer. She also makes sure to add some of these moves to her routines on the show. Looking at these images it is so clear to see that Gabby is The Cotton Candy.
Gabby Also Dropped Some Subtle Hints On TikTok
Gabby has also posted several videos on her TikTok account that show off her dancing skills. In one video posted for her 1.2 million followers, Gabby leaped like a pro across the screen. We have definitely seen this leap during her performances on The Masked Dancer.
In another TikTok, Gabby literally asked her followers for dancing advice. She was trying to do some pirouette turns and wanted any of the dancers watching the video to give her tips on how to perfectly execute them. This proves that she can dance, do pirouettes and also wants to perfect her craft even more. This just screams that Gabby is The Cotton Candy!
