AGT Shares Early Release Audition from Filipino Singing Group
The members of L6 introduced themselves as a singing group from the Philippines, made up of five siblings and their niece. They shared that it was their late mother’s dream for them to appear on America’s Got Talent.
The group started singing “All By Myself” by Celine Dion with a backing track. After a moment, Cowell raised his hand to stop them, and the crowd booed him. He suggested that they should “lose the track” and sing without music.
“In my opinion, the track was terrible,” Cowell explained. “There aren’t that many great a cappella groups, and I think you’ve got the potential to be a great a cappella group.”
The group took Cowell’s advice, starting the song over without music. They showed off some amazing harmonies, and everyone in the group got a chance to shine. The judges were so impressed, they gave the group a standing ovation when the song was finished.

What Did the Judges Think?
After the performance, Cowell told the group that he could instantly tell they were great. He added that they sounded “more unique” and “more memorable” without the backing track, telling them they “absolutely nailed that.”
“Everyone was so important in this song — how you melted together,” Heidi Klum said. “After Simon raised his hand, some people probably would just run off. And you just took it as a champ. And yes, he was right. It sounded amazing.”
L6 received four “yes” votes from the judges to move on. Catch their audition, as well as several others, when AGT Season 19 returns on Tuesday night at 8/7c on NBC.
