After almost 20 years on the air, the one constant of American Idol has always been host Ryan Seacrest. The 46-year-old is such a good host that we actually forgive him for sporting frosted tips throughout the first few seasons of the show. There are so many haters out there that have tried to downplay all of Seacrest’s success. People might actually just rip into Seacrest because they are jealous of him.

There’s Nothing ‘American Idol’ Host Ryan Seacrest Can’t Do

For a guy whose Twitter bio is “Taller in person,” Seacrest radiates the confidence of a giant whenever he is on television. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Seacrest did not stop working to bring smiles to our faces. Season 18 of American Idol went entirely virtual but, he was still able to show that he is adaptable. He literally worked so hard that fans were concerned for his well-being. There is nobody more dedicated to making sure the show still goes on.

Seacrest has juggled Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, and On Air with Ryan Seacrest for years. He also served as the executive producer of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Thank him for bringing fans all of the drama of the Kardashian-Jenner clan for 20 seasons. Another bright spot during the pandemic was The Disney Family Singalong hosted by Seacrest on ABC.

Seacrest keeps a glimmer in his eye and a pocket full of shade to throw whenever his fellow American Idol co-stars get a little too rowdy. In 2018, he pranked the audience by saying that Chris Harrison would be replacing him as host. We can’t imagine what American Idol would be like without Seacrest and his dramatic delivery of the results.

Seacrest has become a pivotal part of the holiday season helping ring in the New Year on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. He idolized Dick Clark all throughout his broadcasting career. He was gutted when Clark died in 2012. Seacrest continues to honor Clark’s legacy and never disappoints with this legendary broadcast. He welcomes musical guests from Taylor Swift to Mariah Carey to perform before the ball drops each year with humor and his own unique style.

Seacrest is Secretly a Hilarious Comedian

Aside from being a host and producer, Seacrest is actually a secret comedian. His favorite thing to do is roast himself before anyone can do it for him. He recently posted some side-by-side photos from picture day at school. It’s pretty safe to say that he had the ultimate glow-up.

Seacrest outshined his co-host Brian Dunkleman on American Idol’s first season with his personality. In case you have forgotten, he has also got some serious vocal chops. He once joined Lionel Richie on stage to sing his hit “Hello.” He also sang with Richard Marx during the 2014 American Idol finale. Seacrest is committed to making the show fun. In a skit with Hulk Hogan during Season 10, he was thrown off the stage and landed in the audience.

As if you needed further proof that Seacrest is a standup guy, he is a loving uncle to his niece Flora. His Instagram page is full of adorable pictures since he became an uncle in 2018. He actually cried on Live with Kelly and Ryan announcing Flora’s birth and reading the heartfelt text messages that his brother-in-law Jimmy sent.

Another thing that we need to take time to appreciate is all of the iconic Halloween costumes that he has sported on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Seacrest has dressed up as everything under the sun including a Ken Doll, Joe Exotic, and Pugsley Addams.

Seacrest is more than just the host of one of the most beloved shows on television. His $450 million net worth is well-deserved considering how hard he works. He has also run the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping bring multimedia experiences to today’s youth. There really is nobody else out there that could compete with his love for television and making people smile.
