‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Teases Drama in New Episode Sneak Peek

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 14 is new this Friday, and the show just shared a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, which will feature guest judge Alec Mapa. The clip teased that there might be some drama brewing between the Queens backstage.
‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Teases New Episode in Sneak Peek
In the new teaser video, RuPaul tells the Queens that they’ll be performing “a brand-new retro hit.” Footage from the recording studio shows that some contestants will fare better than others. For instance, Bosco earns a less-than-amused reaction from judge Michelle Visage.
This week’s episode features actor and comedian Alec Mapa, who has previously appeared on Drag Race, Drag U, and All Stars. In the sneak peek, he tells one of the Queens that she “nailed it.” Mapa joins judges RuPaul, Visage, and Carson Kressley on the judging panel.
The teaser also hints at some drama between Jasmine Kennedie and Kerri Colby. Jasmine tells Kerri, “You had said some things about me that you have not yet said to my face.”
Kerri responds by saying, “Let me tell you something, you shady f*cking b*tch.” She says in a confessional that she’s “about to go and start cutting people’s heads off.”

There Are Only 9 Queens Left in the Competition
Season 14 started with 14 Queens, and now we’re down to nine. We’ve lost five contestants so far, including Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté, who had to leave the competition due to an injury. This Friday marks the eighth episode of the season.
It’s not the only Drag Race show that’s currently airing. RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs. The World is currently in its first season on BBC Three. The series features Queens who have competed on Drag Race shows around the world. RuPaul and Visage are joined on the panel by Graham Norton and Alan Carr.
This week’s new episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race airs Friday night at 8/7c on VH1.
