The most renowned drag queen RuPaul, has shown acknowledgment for Shangela being the most deserving of the crown in RuPaul’s Drag Race. After hundreds of drag queens that have competed in Drag Race, Shangela stands out because of her personality and entertaining vibe.

RuPaul Reveals The Most Deserving Runner-Up to Win the Crown

It is a well-known fact that Shangela is one of the most memorable fan-favorite drag queens that has ever graced the stage. Even RuPaul has chosen Shangela as his pick for the most deserving runner-up to win the crown at his show.

During an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, RuPaul was asked a hypothetical question. The host of the show asked RuPaul who he would have crowned a winner out of all the queens that didn’t win. RuPaul then immediately gave out an answer that everyone was expecting to hear.

“Shangela! Shangela. She’s amazing. We’ve actually put her on the show, like, three times? Something like that. She’s a fabulous queen,” RuPaul said.

Shangela originally made an appearance in the second season, was eliminated in the first episode, and then came back for the third season, where she finished sixth overall. Shangela returned for a third time to participate on All Stars season three many years later. BenDeLaCreme’s hilarious self-eliminating moment on this episode of All Stars had fans convinced Shangela was a lock-in for the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

Shangela expressed gratitude in a post thanking RuPaul for his kind words and acknowledging all the Drag Race runs that Shangela has made. Although Shangela may not have won RuPaul’s Drag Race, he’s certainly a winner in the books for the fans.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 Promises Surprising Twists with Spicy Drama

It’s becoming an increasingly difficult task for a series with 15 regular seasons into its life cycle to constantly pull off highly entertaining antics. Just last season, the series added its chaotically hilarious chocolate bar twist, and the 2023 edition is pushing things up and taking things to another level.

Drag Race isn’t doing it correctly if there’s no newly added competitive segment to the show in the coming season. In addition, the queens of season 15, which has the biggest cast and biggest cash reward in the show’s 13-year history, promise next-level humor that even devoted fans won’t expect.

RuPaul’s Drag Race has also found new home on MTV and with that comes 16 total queens that will be competing. The show will debut its two-part premiere featuring Ariana Grande as a guest judge on Friday, January 6 on MTV.
