The Masked Dancer UK is back on ITV. The show’s remaining six contestants took to the the stage for their first shot at the competition. After a number of impressive performances, ‘Rubber Chicken’ had the judges in confusion. The panel failed to make any worthy guesses as to who could be behind the mask.
Rubber Chicken on ‘The Masked Dancer UK’ had “Lack of Actual Dancing”
The latest episode of The Masked Dancer UK was full of surprising talent with the remaining set of dancing hopefuls working to impress.
One particular contestant however, failed to win the support of online viewers and had the in-studio judges confused. Rubber Chicken performed ‘Hippy Hippy Shake’ for their first dance number. Twitter was bewildered, with one user saying: “No Idea haha”. Another provided some criticism to the act, calling Rubber Chicken’s performance lacking in “actual dancing.”
Jonathan Ross was also critical of the act, guessing Rubber Chicken was “probably not a professional dancer.” The judge went on to describe the performance as equal of “dad dancing.”
Despite this, Rubber Chicken was keen to share their energy on stage. Even as the judges were responding with guesses, the contestant was seen continuing to dance, leaving host, Joel Dommett puzzled. The host later admitted to hearing none of the judges’ comments, clearly distracted by Rubber Chicken’s hilarious antics.
It seems Rubber Chicken’s energy was noticed by the virtual audience, choosing to send the masked dancer into the next round. If anything, we can tell it’s not just dancing talent that will secure each masked dancer a chance at winning!
Spoiler! Judges Shocked at Eliminated Celebrity’s Identity
Squirrel, Flamingo, and Frog were voted bottom three in today’s episode.
Judge Davina McCall exclaimed how “hard” the decision was to make, despite all of the of the contestants’ “amazing” performances. Squirrel and Frog were lucky enough to find themselves back in the competition after the judges unanimously saved them both.
As a result, Flamingo unfortunately found themselves eliminated. The masked dancer was finally revealed as Louise Redknapp. Redknapp astounded viewers after admitting that her own children were not aware of her chance to appear on the show. The media personality and singer already had previous talent show experience on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
“The dancing appealed to me because it’s something I love to do but it isn’t my sole vocation. It’s not my job but I do use it within my job,” she told viewers.
