Riley Green on 'The Voice' 2025

New The Voice coach Riley Green and returning coach Kelly Clarkson have apparently established a friendly rivalry ahead of the new season of the show. Green revealed in a recent interview that Clarkson has been “talking trash.”

Riley Green, Kelly Clarkson Have Friendly Rivalry

It was recently announced that country star Riley Green is joining The Voice as a new coach for Season 30, premiering this fall. He’ll be sitting on the panel alongside fellow newcomer Queen Latifah, as well as veteran coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.

In a recent interview with E! News at the American Music Awards, Green shared that Clarkson had sent him “a message kind of trash talking about the show.” He added, “Kelly’s definitely talked the most trash, so she’ll probably be tough.”

As for the other coaches, Green said he has yet to meet Levine, but he had just met Latifah. As he said, “That was a big deal. She’s like a larger than life figure for me growing up.”

“I love that we’re gonna all kind of meet each other and build that rapport in real time when we’re doing the show,” Green said. “It’ll be real when we start filming.”

Michael Bublé Supports Green Ahead of the Show

Former The Voice coach Michael Bublé has shown his support for Riley Green ahead of the new season. Bublé recently crashed one of Green’s interviews, predicting that he’ll be the “future winner.”

“I’ll be voting. I’ll be cheating, voting a bunch of times,” Bublé joked. “I think he’s a tremendous musician. He’s a beautiful guy. He’s an empathetic guy.”
