Queen Latifah Announced as Final The Voice Season 30 Coach

The Voice is gearing up to film it’s milestone 30th season this summer. Ahead of filming, the show has begun confirming their coaching line up.

Immediately after Season 29, it was announced that winning coach Adam Levine would be returning to the panel this fall. This announcement was then followed up with Kelly Clarkson’s return and eventually, Country Artist Riley Green’s debut season.

On Tuesday, May 12, Deadline broke the news that actress and singer Queen Latifah would be joining the judging panel for Season 30. Fans familiar with competition shows know that this is not Latifah’s first time on a judging panel. She previously appeared as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent Season 14.

The actress and singer is known for songs such as “Ladies First” and “U.N.I.T.Y.” She also has a reputable film and TV career with most notable roles as Chicago, Bringing Down the House, Set it Off, and more.

The official The Voice Instagram page has yet to announce Latifah’s place on the coaching panel at the time of writing.

How do Fans Feel About This?

Deadline’s article was shared to Reddit soon after it was published. The original publisher admitted that they were hoping for Jennifer Hudson, but they’re happy with the casting of Queen Latifah.

In the replies, multiple fans are seen getting really excited about this announcement. Some are noting that this is the most excited they’ve been about The Voice news in a long time.
