It was recently announced that country singer Riley Green will be joining The Voice as a new coach for Season 30, premiering this fall. Green has received support from former coach Michael Bublé as he prepares for his new gig.
Michael Bublé Supports New The Voice Coach Riley Green
Riley Green recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about joining The Voice for Season 30. He was asked if he had a chance to speak to longtime coach Blake Shelton about the show, to which Green responded that he’s “still trying to explain to him who I am.”
Green mentioned that he had been talking to former coach Michael Bublé, who happened to walk up as Green was being interviewed. Bublé will apparently be rooting for Green on the new season, calling him the “future winner.”
“I’ll be voting. I’ll be cheating, voting a bunch of times,” Bublé joked. “I think he’s a tremendous musician. He’s a beautiful guy. He’s an empathetic guy.”
For some reason, Bublé also seemed to be under the impression that Green was Canadian like him. The country star had to correct him, letting him know that he’s actually from Alabama and joking, “It’s really close, actually.”

Who Are Green’s Fellow Coaches for Season 30?
All four coaches have now been announced for Season 30 of The Voice. Not only are veteran coaches Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson returning to their spinning red chairs, but the other two seats will be occupied by first-timers.
In addition to Riley Green, legendary musician and actress Queen Latifah will also be joining the show as a new coach. Latifah has some past experience as a talent show panelist, as she previously appeared as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent.
