America’s Got Talent returned on Tuesday night for the Season 19 finale, as singer Richard Goodall was named the winner. The episode was jam-packed with performances from finalists and guests alike, as host Terry Crews shared the results from last week’s vote.
Richard Goodall Named AGT 2024 Winner
School janitor Richard Goodall auditioned for AGT earlier this season with an incredible cover of “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. He earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the live shows. Richard captured America’s hearts, and it translated to votes.
Throughout the season, Richard performed songs such as “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” by Michael Bolton, “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor, and “Faithfully” by Journey. Then in Tuesday’s finale, he got to perform with Neal Schon and Journey on his original audition song, “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
At the end of the night, Crews announced that Richard was the winner of AGT Season 19. It’s been an exciting week for him, as he recently married his fiancée Angie Vanoven. When he was announced as the winner, Klum ran up on stage to give him a hug. Richard said his “life has been changed.”

Who Made It Into the Top 5?
During the America’s Got Talent finale, Crews announced the Top 5 acts from America’s vote. Along with Richard Goodall, the Top 5 included drone act Sky Elements, quick-change artist Solange Kardinaly, comedian Learnmore Jonasi, and dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm.
He later revealed who finished in fifth, fourth, and third place. It was Learnmore Jonasi, Solange Kardinaly, and Sky Elements, in that order. That means that Roni Sagi & Rhythm finished the competition in second place behind Richard Goodall.
Tuesday’s finale also featured several exciting performances, from guests such as Simone Biles and the Gold Over America Tour, the cast of Magic Mike Live, and The Voice coach Michael Bublé. Finalist Dee Dee Simon got to perform with Andra Day and Detroit Youth Choir, while Steve Aoki joined AIRFOOTWORKS for a performance.
