Reba McEntire Joins ‘The Voice’ as Season 24 Coaches Are Announced

The Voice has announced the coach lineup for Season 24, and it features country legend Reba McEntire. Only one of this season’s coaches will be returning to the show, as veteran coach Blake Shelton vacates his chair for good.
The Voice Season 24 Coach Lineup Announced
On Monday, The Voice announced which coaches will be featured on this fall’s new season of the show. Notably, this season’s Mega Mentor Reba McEntire will be on the panel. Now that Shelton is leaving, she’ll be bringing country to the coaching lineup.
Additionally, this season’s new coach Niall Horan will be back in his spinning red chair, alongside returning coaches Gwen Stefani and John Legend. This will be Stefani’s first time coaching on the show without Shelton, her husband.
This also means that new coach Chance the Rapper won’t be returning for the new season, and longtime coach Kelly Clarkson will be taking another season off. This isn’t too surprising, considering she’s about to release a new album and begin a Las Vegas residency, on top of hosting her talk show.
McEntire took to her own Twitter account on Monday to share the news, writing, “There’s a new Coach in town! See you all this Fall!”

What Do Fans Think of the New Lineup?
Many fans responded positively to news of Season 24’s coach lineup, with one Twitter user writing, “Amazing! That will be a lot of fun to see Reba as a coach!” Another wrote, “This is gonna be a great season!!”
Fans also reacted to the news on Instagram, with one user suggesting that Shelton should return to the show as a Battle Advisor on Stefani’s team. Someone else joked that since Shelton is Horan’s “dad,” he’ll finally get to coach with his “mom” Stefani.

Was very excited to hear that Reba was going to be on The Voice, thought about watching it again, but I won’t be since Gwen will be back.
