Peter Rosalita proved that he is a true professional even though he is just 10 years old. The powerhouse singer opened up the America’s Got Talent Semifinals on Tuesday night. A little technical hiccup during the performance did not stop him from bringing the AGT judges and the audience to their feet.
Peter Rosalita Pushes Through ‘AGT’ Performance After Technical Glitch
When Peter’s performance began, he looked a bit confused. He could not hear the track over the roaring crowd. Instead of singing along to a track he couldn’t hear, he decided to take matters into his own hands. The young Filipino singer asked if the track could be restarted. After just a few moments, the track started again.
Live television is unpredictable but Peter handled it like someone well beyond his years. The rest of the AGT Semifinals performance went off without a hitch. Peter was quickly able to make everyone forget about what happened at the start of the song. His vocals were crisp and he hit each note with confidence. He continues to kill it each week with his sparkly suits. There is nothing he can’t do.
“That’s how you recover like a champion,” Terry Crews said after the performance.
All of the judges were up on their feet to applaud Peter for pushing through. They all agreed that Peter did exactly what he should have done and really showed how professional he is. The performance and sentiment of the song even made Simon Cowell a bit emotional in the AGT Semifinals.
Howie Mandel applauded Peter for dealing with true adversity on live television. He thinks Peter did better than somebody 10 times his age. AGT fans know that some acts crumble when they hit the live stage. In Peter’s case, he rose to the occasion and should be voted through to the finale.
