Perrie Edwards Updates on Her Debut Solo Album, Says Little Mix was Her “Comfort Blanket”

Former Little Mix member Perrie Edwards is currently working on her debut album as a solo artist. As fans wait for her music, Edwards is reflecting on the difference of her present creative process from when she was part of Little Mix.
Perrie Edwards is Coming Out of Her Shell While Working on Her Solo Album
In her most recent video post on Instagram, Edwards shared some updates regarding hers unfinished debut album. Keeping it light in the beginning, she quipped about her debut music collection’s progress.
“So update on the album. It’s finished!!! … no, I’m joking,” she said.
Later, the former band member got candid on her current position as a solo artist. According to Edwards herself, she’s “in a very good place” right now.
“It’s been an amazing process, I’ve met so many incredible writers, incredible producers. People I’ve worked with before, new people… it’s just been really fun I’ve loved it. (It’s) been a very different process I would say to being in the band. I think it kind of has brought me out of my shell a lot,” she said.
The singer went on to recall how Little Mix had become her “comfort blanket” years back. Now that she’s pushing herself out of the usual, she admitted getting intimidated working with amazing writers and producers.
“I think going into the process, I sat down with my label and I was like look, I don’t know if I want to write that much, I don’t know I’m a very good writer. I’ve also been with the girls, so I don’t know if I’m that great at it. I don’t know!” she said.
Edwards is reportedly working with 11 producers and songwriters to create her first ever solo album. In June, Sunday Mirror newspaper’s No Filter column stated that the singer is determined to offer fans her best shot.
“Only the best will make the cut – she’s ensuring fans won’t be disappointed,” the source said.
She Recently Flaunted Her Sultry Physique
While Edwards is busy gearing up for hew new era in music, she’s still giving herself some time to unwind. The former band member recently showed off her sexy physique while wearing a brown bikini.
As she posed up for a photo, the skimpy two-piece flaunted her toned midriff and long legs. In the snaps, Edwards’ blonde locks in beachy waves were also highlighted.
Edwards recently revealed that she’s been spending some time in Antalya, Turkey where her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain stays. She’s been splitting her time between England and Turkey following his football move. The former Little Mix member is mother to her two-year-old son Axel.
“It hasn’t been an easy decision because Perrie and Alex have their young son Axel to think about and they don’t want to live their lives apart,” an unknown source told The Sun.
According to the insider, the two are “determined to make it work.”
“They know it’s not going to be straightforward but they love each other and want to support one another’s dreams. That means making some sacrifices,” the insider said.
