Dancing with the Stars coupleNikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are gearing up for the premiere of their new E! reality show Nikki Bella Says I Do. This week, they stopped by Good Morning America to talk about the show, and how they planned their wedding in just four weeks.
Nikki Bella, Artem Chigvintsev Talk About Their Wedding
“I thought it was a really good idea,” Bella said of the couple’s choice to plan their wedding quickly, before admitting that she was “totally wrong.” Meanwhile, Chigvintsev said he “tried to stay away from it” and let Bella handle things with her twin sister Brie.
Fans will be able to see how it all came together when their show premieres on Thursday night. Bella teased that “Artem has major diva moments” during the season finale. She said she sipped champagne and “let him throw his fit for an hour and a half.”
“He left the venue, and I didn’t think he was gonna come back,” Bella shared. “And I cannot wait for the world to see why, and how nothing was my fault. It was all him.”
Chigvintsev also talked about his family not being able to make it to Paris from Russia to be there at the wedding. Bella said they “tried everything” to make it work, but it didn’t end up happening. They ended up watching the nuptials via Zoom.
The couple’s son Matteo was supposed to be the ringbearer at their wedding, but Bella told GMA that “he never made it down the aisle” because he “ended up throwing up all over his white suit.” Bella’s brother informed her of this during the ceremony.
“And I’m like, ‘Did he just really say that?'” Bella said. “So I don’t even remember Artem putting the ring on, because all I could think about is, like, ‘Am I standing here really getting this ring put on as my son’s supposedly vomiting in the back?'”
The couple also talked about their first dance. Bella said they didn’t choreograph it and instead “winged it.” She said it “ended up being such a romantic first dance, and so sexy.”
Nikki Bella Says I Do premieres Thursday, January 26, on E! at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
