If you thought The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon was done having babies, think again. Cannon is currently expecting his eighth child, and he hinted in a recent interview that more could be on the way later this year as he failed his celibacy goals.
Nick Cannon Hints at More Babies This Year
Cannon was a guest on the Lip Service podcast on Tuesday. When asked about reports that he has “three babies on the way,” Cannon responded, “When you say ‘on the way…’ What count are you at? Let’s just put it this way … the stork is on the way.”
There is at least one Cannon baby on the way this year. In January, he confirmed that he’s expecting his eighth child, this time with model Bre Tiesi. However, there might be even more on the way, as he told the podcast, “If you thought it was a lot of kids last year…”
Cannon also admitted that he briefly tried celibacy after talking with his therapist last year. He said he lasted a month and a half before breaking after the loss of his son Zen in December. Cannon explained, “I fell victim to it ’cause I was in a weak state.”
The podcast hosts wondered if this means Cannon is expecting more babies in September and October. He replied, “Y’all are pretty good at math.”
Abby De La Rosa Is Expecting Another Baby With Nick Cannon
DJ Abby De La Rosa, who welcomed twins named Zion and Zillion with Cannon last year, is currently pregnant with her third child. She recently shared that her due date is October 25. On June 8, TMZ exclusively reported via multiple sources that Cannon is father of De La Rosa’s baby. The Masked Singer host has yet to confirm that he’s the father via social media.
Comments on Lip Service‘s Instagram video from the Cannon interview were not particularly supportive of the star’s casual attitude about having so many children with different women. One commenter wrote, “Money means NOTHING if you lack time with them as a father!”
In addition to his twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey, Cannon has also had Golden and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, and Zen (who passed away) with Alyssa Scott.
