The Voice returned to NBC for the second part of The Knockout Rounds on Tuesday, November 3. The show switched up their scheduling this week. It switched from the 8-10pm time slot to the 9-10pm time slot. The show will remain being one hour once a week in the near future.
Knockout Rounds Return With One Hour Episode
The first Knockout pairing of the night was Team Snoop pairing Natalia Albertini and Toni Lorene. They sang “I Wish” by Stevie Wonder and “Lady Marmalade” by Christina Aguilera. Snoop Dogg, after complimenting both singers spoke to “the gangster holy ghost” who told the coach to pick Toni as the winner of the round.
Up next was Team Niall members Aiden Ross and Liam Von Elbe. They sang “When The Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish and “Over My Head” The Fray, respectively. The coaches took the opportunity to remind everyone that there’s no save or steal in this portion of the competition. Horan admitted that he had a hard time picking the winner of this Knockout, but ultimately, he chose Aiden as the winner.
Michael Bublé Hits First Mic Drop Button
In case you missed the beginning of the Knockout Round, coaches have a special button for this round of the competition. The “mic drop” button will send a singer to perform at the Rose parade. Bublé was the first coach to hit this button in the round.
Team Bublé members Max Cooper II and Max Chambers were the final pairing to hit the stage. They sang “End of Beginning” by Djo and “Don’t You Worry Bout a Thing” by Stevie Wonder, respectively. As soon as Max Chambers got into the chorus of his song, Bublé was seen standing and dancing at his chair. It was a little obvious who Bublé was going to pick as the winner of this Knockout.
After Bublé announced Max Chambers won the Knockout, he decided to hit the Mic Drop for the 14 year old singer. When Max left the stage, both Horan and Snoop Dogg admitted “it was like watching a little Michael Jackson.”
