Meet Crash Adams, the Viral Music Duo Taking ‘AGT’ by Storm

America’s Got Talent Season 20 returns for another week of live shows on Tuesday, and Crash Adams is among the acts returning to the stage. The music duo, who got their start online, impressed the judges in their audition.
Meet AGT‘s Viral Music Duo Crash Adams
Crash Adams is a Canadian music duo consisting of best friends Rafaele “Crash” Massarelli and Vince “Adams” Sasso. According to NBC Insider, the pair has been performing together for seven years. The duo gained popularity online by combining their music with viral stunts.
Notably, the duo posted videos on TikTok in which they moved Rafaele’s grandmother’s red couch to different locations. Eventually, they developed an impressive following online. Currently, they have over 7 million followers on TikTok and over 12 million YouTube subscribers.
As their popularity grew, Crash Adams signed with Warner Music Canada and released their debut EP, California Girl, in 2023. The following year, they were nominated for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards and put out their second EP, Crashing Into Your Living Room, Vol. 1.
Just last month, the duo put out a follow-up EP called Crashing Into Your Living Room, Vol. 2. It features their AGT audition song “Optimist,” as well as the single “New Heart” and several other tracks.

The Judges Were Impressed by Their Audition
For their audition on AGT Season 20, Crash Adams performed their original song “Optimist.” The catchy pop tune had the audience cheering and the judges smiling. Howie Mandel called it a “hit song” and said the duo has a “great stage presence.”
“The song was super catchy, I was dancing to it,” Sofia Vergara said. “Your voice is great, and I love the relationship that you have. I feel like you guys need a little bit more cool outfits, though. A little more sexy, ’cause you guys are sexy.”
All four judges voted “yes” to sending Crash Adams through. They were later chosen to be among the 44 acts performing in the live Season 20 Quarterfinals. They’ll take the stage during Tuesday night’s performance show. Will they make it to the Semifinals? We’ll have to wait and see.
