America’s Got Talent is officially back! Now that AGT is back for its 20th season on NBC, there’s been a huge twist to the show itself. Instead of 4 or 5 Golden Buzzers, this season will feature 9. D Dance group, The Funkateer Dancers is among the recipients of the season.

It’s no secret that America’s Got Talent fans love a dance group. Terry Crews is apart of that clientele that loves a new dance group, since he gave one of his Golden Buzzers to The Funkateer Dancers. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
The group, hailing from Inkster, Michigan is comprised of four members, Ed Miller, Healey Jeffrey, Tony Warren, and Michael Kelly. The Funkateer Dancers created their official Facebook group 3 years ago and at the time of writing, it has 2,506 total members.
The Funkateer Dancers went viral on TikTok in 2024. The video, posted by forreadyfunkateer on TikTok, has brought in over 750K likes, 15.4K comments, and 240K shares. The group currently does not have combined social media, only individual pages.

The Funkateer Dancers Were in The Show’s Super Teaser
Ahead of this season’s America’s Got Talent premiere, NBC shared what they called a “super teaser.” The super teaser included even more acts auditioning this season. The super teaser includes various scenes of people entering the Pasadena Civic Center, Simon Cowell talking about the legendary season, and the judges showing up to film.
Eventually, the trailer shows multiple acts taking the stage. As part of the groups taking the stage, fans were able to see a short glimpse of The Funkateer Dancers. Within the short clip, the four group members were seen shimmying on stage.
