Who is the Rock Lobster? ‘The Masked Singer’ Prediction & Clues!

The Masked Singer season 9 is already one to remember, with two HUGE unmaskings in the premiere! Competition is heating up…though hopefully not literally for our next costumed competitor. The Rock Lobster is taking the stage as “the most out of control character yet,” which is saying a LOT for The Masked Singer!
But who is the celebrity under the mask? Here’s what we know about their identity so far!
Clues on The Masked Singer Season 9
During ABBA Night, Rock Lobster welcomes up to the “hottest club, Lobster a Go Go.” He’s been in movies and TV shows “since you were a kid.” We see men in black dressed in scrubs and yellow rain gear. “10 million people” watch him dance “for 15 seconds on the daily!” In school, he was a weird and neurotic mess, he claims while holding a briefcase. He got his fulfillment from pulling elaborate pranks, which eventually got him expelled from three different schools. Then, he holds up a plushie of the Monster from season one!
One day, “on a dare,” everything changed. He shared his quirks with an audience! They show him getting dealt in with two joker cards. He still claims to be a “neurotic mess” though, especially recently. Finally, we see a globe with a big lobster over it. He’s made an “entire career out of being uncomfortable!”
Once his performance was over, we got a celebrity clue delivered by Shangela. She showed a gavel and said “it ain’t got nothing to do with Judge Judy.” Rock Lobster explained, “I’m a great judge of character.”

Popular Guesses for The Masked Singer Rock Lobster
Ken thought he “knew EXACTLY who this is!” He predicted Rock Lobster was Howie Mandel. Nicole said this “screams Martin Short” and Howie would never get in this costume. Robin was thinking this might be Steve-O from Jackass.
Online, guesses mostly seemed to center in on America’s Got Talent’s Howie Mandel. Other predictions we saw were Steve-O from Jackass, Eric Andre, and David Spade.

After QUITE the performance from Rock Lobster, he was (unsurprisingly) eliminated. And under the mask was…
Howie Mandel!
And we loved seeing this America’s Got Talent crossover on the show! Even though he wasn’t the best singer, he was definitely the most entertaining. We’re sad to see him go so soon!
