Tuesday night, FOX premiered the first episode of The Real Dirty Dancing. The four-week event, hosted by Stephen “tWitch” Boss, challenges eight celebrities to recreate iconic scenes and dance routines from the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing.

At the end of the season, one man and one woman will be named “Johnny” and “Baby.” In Tuesday’s episode, tWitch paired the contestants up after an impromptu dance party inspired by a famous watermelon scene from the movie.

Loni Love Shares Positive Message on ‘The Real Dirty Dancing’

Comedian and recent RuPaul’s Drag Race guest judge Loni Love was paired up with Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron in the show’s first episode. They had 24 hours to put together a dance routine.

When the two stars were paired up as a couple, they were both overjoyed and excited. Love joked, “He’s got a nice body, so he can handle all this woman.”

The pair had a lot of fun and shared a few laughs during rehearsal. While Cameron shared that he was competing on the show to make his late mother proud, Love said she wants to send a positive message about body image.

“Hey, you may not be the size of Baby, but you can dirty dance,” Love told viewers. “If I can do it, you can do it.”

How Did the Couple Do in Their First Dance?

Before their first official dance routine, Love joked that she hasn’t danced since 1996, while Cameron pointed out that he was born in 1993. They went on to show off a sexy routine with plenty of hip action. It ended with Love ripping Cameron’s shirt open.

At the end of the show, the men decided which of the women was the best Baby, and the women decided which man was the best Johnny. Cameron was chosen as this week’s male winner, while Cat Cora was the female winner. All eight contestants will return next week for another challenge.
