‘Lego Masters’ Returns, Blowing Away Fans and Brick Masters
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Finally, after two weeks of airing re-runs, LEGO Masters returned this week. Hopefully, the fans can watch the rest of this season uninterrupted. This week, the show focused on a different type of fan. A high-powered one, capable of 60 mph wind speeds and ready to put the brick artists’ engineering skills to the test.
In this week’s exciting challenge, the seven remaining teams had to harness the power of wind to elevate their storytelling. The structure needed to be sturdy enough to stand the high wind speed and also have wind-generated motion. The brick masters Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard were hoping to see the wind used to bring a lot of motion to the builds. Two things were for sure, no one held a clear advantage in building LEGO for high-speed winds and destruction was once again inevitable.
Hurricane Will Tears Through the LEGO Masters Set
A wall of wind greeted the brick artists as they entered the brick pit this week. As the fan blades die down, host Will Arnett breaks down the challenge and stuns the room when he announces just how fast the wind speeds would be getting. The challenge seemed to be on the strength of the build, but for Jamie and Amy, using the wind to generate movement that brought a story to life was everything.
The teams had 12 hours to come up with their large centerpiece and its surrounding story. If withstanding the wind wasn’t enough, these artists had to also figure out how to use it to tell compelling stories.
When it came to facing the wind two teams were clear winners. Brothers Mark and Steven and the twins Caleb and Jacob both reached 60 mph with their structure intact. Maria and Philip’s centerpiece fell to the wind quickly, withstanding only 20 mph.
The Brick Masters: Who Was Eliminated?
Dave and Richard won again this week. Despite their build only reaching 50 mph, it was aesthetically above the rest while the wind breezed through it. It paid off big time and the friends sealed the challenge win. This marked their third win and the first back-to-back wins for any team in the competition.
An equal shocker was who ended up as the bottom teams. The brick masters Maria and Philip were sent home for having the weakest build overall.
Dave and Richard are growing as front runners as we reach the halfway mark. Mark and Steven still hold onto the golden brick with only a few weeks remaining. The competition for the final six teams is unpredictable at this point. Hopefully, the schedule will be more predictable and we have no further interruptions.
