Jordin Sparks Says Goodbye to Dancing with the Stars
Sparks posted a series of images from her time on the show, including a shot with Armstrong, a pic with her husband Dana Isaiah, and a photo posing with her 4-year-old son. She shared in the caption that she chose to compete on DWTS because she wanted to “do something that scared me.”
“I had been offered to do the show before and, out of fear, said no,” Sparks explained. “Who would have known it would become something I would take so much pride in, be so proud of, and would become such a fulfilling experience all-around for me!”
Sparks said she enjoyed ballroom dancing so much that she plans to continue taking lessons after her time on the show. She went on to thank the cast and crew of the show, saying they’ve “been my family.”
The singer also gave a special shout-out to Armstrong, calling him “my second brother I never had.” She continued, “You are the best dance partner, sh-talker, jumpy, superstitious, pop n lockin nerdy friend I could have asked for. You’re stuck with me now!”

Sparks Thanks the Viewers for Their Support
Sparks also used her post to thank the DWTS viewers “for tuning in, voting for me and supporting from near and far every week.” She added that the fans’ support “has meant the world to me, and it’s nothing I will ever take for granted.”
Shortly after her elimination on Monday night, Sparks shared a video on Instagram telling fans to “do things that scare you,” adding that “it’s gonna open up a new field of possibilities for you.” This is a lesson she also wants to impart on her son.
As Sparks wrote in the caption of her latest post, she’s proud of “showing my little guy to go after things that scare you,” calling it “the only way to grow.” She added, “Bringing him on set and showing him to challenge yourself is something I hope he will take with him.”
Sparks is getting back to work right away after her elimination. She recently shared that she has a new song coming out November 11.
