JoJo Siwa Reveals ‘Many Reasons’ for Split from Kath Ebbs

JoJo Siwa has finally set the record straight about her surprise split from partner Kath Ebbs. Freshly out of Celebrity Big Brother UK, Siwa stepped on to The Viall Files to discuss her time on the show, as well as her split from Kath Ebbs.
JoJo Siwa Isn’t Interested in Dating at The Moment
Following Siwa’s time on Celebrity Big Brother UK the former Dancing With The Stars star is coming clean about her relationships. For those who may not know, Siwa was dating partner Kath Ebbs ahead of her time on the reality series.
While on the series, she was see getting cozy with co-star Chris Hughes. Following the final of the series, Ebbs posted a tell-all video on TikTok detailing their split from Siwa. Now, Siwa is speaking out about what she wants romantically.
“I’m so happy where I’m at right now that I just want to stay here,” Siwa said on “The Viall Files” podcast . “Whatever that means, whatever this is, I’m great here.”
The professional dancer went on to make it crystal clear that the reason behind her split from Ebbs was not Love Island’s Chris Hughes.
“Obviously, a lot of people think that Chris has something to do with it,” she said on Wednesday. “Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it. Chris and I are friends. We have a very, very great friendship.”
Speaking further about her relationship with Hughes, Siwa admitted there was a turning point in their reality show friendship. They bonded over consistent energy levels and feeling “drained” because of the pressure of being “always on” while on the show.
Due to those similarities, Siwa and Hughes got close and began spending a ton of time together. Many viewers of Celebrity Big Brother UK interpreted Siwa and Hughes relationship as a romance. For those who may not know, people in the Big Brother house have no outside access to the world, so Siwa and Hughes weren’t seeing people ship them online.
“You have no clue what’s going on in the outside world,” Siwa said. “I asked the diary room every single day, ‘Has Katy Perry made it back from outer space?’ That’s what I cared about.”
What Actually Happened Between Ebbs, Siwa?
At the moment, fans do not know exactly what happened between Siwa and her partner. Since the professional dancer was on the topic of relationships, she made it clear that she is respecting her ex-partner’s request to not talk about them.
“Out of respect for another human in this situation, they have asked to not speak about it, for me to not speak about them,” Siwa said. “I told them, I said, ‘Look, that’s going to make me seem like I am avoidant of the situation.’ I’m not avoidant of the situation.”
Throughout her time on Celebrity Big Brother UK, Siwa hinted that she was unhappy with her relationship with Ebbs. The unhappiness was “unrelated” to her friendship with Hughes.
In Ebbs’ 13 minute tell-all video, they discussed the breakup that happened at the Big Brother UK wrap party. Siwa acknowledged “that’s not entirely the story.” Ebbs decided to skip out on the wrap party, and Siwa was fine with it.
Eventually, Ebbs changed their mind and went to the party. Siwa then claimed that Ebbs had a “strange” request at the party, which led to a conversation.
“All of a sudden, we’re at the wrap party for Big Brother. I’m getting cussed out,” Siwa recalled. “I understand [why] they’re angry and [why] they’re coming at me. But I also keep reiterating, like, I’m not in a place to talk.”
Ebbs apparently asked Siwa if she wanted to “end things,” to which Siwa didn’t hold back. The professional dancer admitted, “if you ask me tomorrow, I don’t know my answer. If you ask me right now, my answer is yes.”
Siwa then went on to state that Ebbs’ video alludes to Chris being the reason they broke up. The dancer acknowledged that’s simply not the truth.
“I understand Chris and I are very tight. We have this very beautiful bond, this very beautiful connection, but don’t paint it out to look like I cheated on you with him because I did not,” Siwa said. “I will stand on that ground.”
Instead, Siwa wishes she could explain the relationship she has with Hughes. In the end, Siwa wants people to know this special relationship is special to her and it’s not something she’s willing to convince anyone of.
