Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are apparently close to a settlement in their child custody case. In the meantime, the divorcing couple has agreed to a temporary custody arrangement through the end of the year.

Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner Reach Custody Agreement

According to settlement documents obtained by TMZ, “an amicable resolution on all issues between them is forthcoming.” Turner had reportedly wanted the couple’s two daughters to live with her in the UK, while Jonas wanted them to stay in the U.S.

The couple met for a multi-day mediation last week, and they apparently hashed out a temporary child custody agreement. The kids will be with Turner until October 21, and she’s allowed to take them to the UK during that time.

Jonas will then have the kids until November 2, at which point return to Turner until November 22. They will then return to Jonas for the Thanksgiving holiday, before going back to Turner on December 16. They’ll apparently spend Christmas and New Year’s with their mom.

Jonas Filed for Divorce Last Month

Amid rumors of the couple’s separation, Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in September, after nearly four years of marriage. The couple released a joint statement confirming the news, saying they had “mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.”

The pair apparently signed a prenuptial agreement before their marriage to maintain their own assets. Weeks after the divorce filing, Turner reportedly filed a lawsuit demanding Jonas return their children to the UK. According to her, the couple had agreed that England would be the kids’ “forever home.”

Turner also reportedly claimed that she learned of their split from the media, which Jonas denied. The statement from the singer’s rep also said he was “okay with the kids being raised both in the U.S. and the UK.”
