Joe Jonas Files for Dismissal of Miami Divorce from Sophie Turner

Joe Jonas has recently filed a petition to dismiss his divorce from Sophie Turner in Miami. The big move came after the Jonas Brothers member settled a temporary custody agreement with the Game of Thrones actress.
Joe Jonas Files to Dismiss Miami Divorce Case After Mediation with Sophie Turner
After filing for a divorce last month, Jonas is taking it back. According to court records, Jonas and Turner reached a  momentary agreement over child custody on October 11. Right after, the musician moved to drop the Miami divorce case.
In addition, court documents state that both sides have come to various agreements and are now seeking to “pursue an amicable resolution of all issues.”
“After a productive and successful mediation, we have agreed that the children will spend time equally in loving homes in both the US and the UK. We look forward to being great co-parents,” they said in a joint statement.
The former couple will share custody of their children until January 7. This will give their kids the opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with their father and Christmas with their mother. During their designated period, each parent is permitted to temporarily travel with their children to any state in the United States or the United Kingdom
Jonas filed for divorce on September 19 in Miami, Florida, after four years of marriage. Turner, however, did not respond directly to the request. Instead, she countersued him for the “immediate return” of their daughters to England. Furthermore, she filed her own divorce petition in the UK.
At present, the status of turner’s UK petition is unknown.
What Does This Move Mean For the Estranged Couple?
Considering the news that Jonas filed for divorce, it’s understandable that fans are a bit confused. Upon hearing the recent report, numerous people are wondering if the two can possibly come back together.
However, reading through Jonas and Turner’s recent statement regarding co-parenting, it seems that the pair hasn’t reconciled romantically. With that, it’s still more probable that a divorce will happen soon.
Be that as it may, their four-day mediation may have signaled a more private agreement. If this will take place, Sophie and Joe’s legal team would negotiate the settlement behind closed doors. Then, they will file the agreed-upon details to be authorized through the appropriate court.
Furthermore, it may be noted that the status of Turner’s UK divorce petition is currently unknown and may still be active. Therefore, it may also be possible that the musician has agreed to settle the divorce in England.
