Jenny Demands To See Divorce Papers From Sumit On ’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’

Jenny Slatten and Sumit have definitely been one of the most talked-about couples to come out of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise. The pair who have a 31 year age difference between them have not had an easy relationship after Sumit revealed back in season one of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way that he is married. With their relationship continuing on season two, Jenny is seeking more answers and demanding that he show proof of his divorce.
Jenny Slatten Wants To Make Sure That Sumit Is Divorced
After Jenny left her entire life behind back in California in season one of the show, it seemed like the pair were going to be headed straight down the aisle in India. But when she got there, things were not as great as she thought they would be. The couple had to hide from Sumit’s parents who would not approve of the relationship and a lot of the time, she felt very alone. He also could not live in the apartment that was meant for the two of them out of fear of his parents finding out. It wasn’t until later in the season that a terrifying confrontation with Sumit’s family that was not caught on camera explained why he was so hesitant to propose to Jenny.

Sumit’s family showed up to the apartment and beat him until they could drag him away. Why? Well, it turns out that Sumit was actually married in India and had a wife at home, all the while he was falling in love with Jenny. Jenny was visibly shaken after describing this altercation to the cameras and didn’t know what her next steps would be. She still wanted to be with Sumit but returned home after he explained that getting a divorce isn’t easy and he could be jailed for starting a relationship with Jenny. Now in season two, Sumit insists that he is in fact divorced. But Jenny is holding her ground and demanded to see divorce papers to prove that he is telling the truth. She even threatened to go to the courthouse herself to check for sure.
Will The Couple Be Walking Down The Aisle Any Time Soon?
There are still so many questions that fans of the franchise have about Jenny and Sumit’s relationship. Especially since the pair are still residing in a place that is far away from his family’s home. Since he has kept secrets before, it’s hard for both the viewers and Jenny to trust Sumit who has lied in the past. It is very clear that Jenny wants to get married but of course, the pair can’t do that until Sumit is legally divorced.
