Is Nick Cannon’s ‘Miracles Across 125th Street’ a Reunion of ‘The Masked Singer’?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Nick Cannon has a new Christmas film that he’s hoping the whole family can enjoy. VH1 is set to premiere Miracles Across 125th Street on Dec 20 at 9 p.m. ET. His Ncredible Entertainment is producing alongside MTV Entertainment Studios and Capital Arts. The film will feature dozens of familiar faces including Todrick Hall, who we expect is behind the Bull on The Masked Singer.
Miracles Across 125th Street not only stars Cannon, but was written and directed by the multi-talented star. The film follows a Harlem rapper who returns to his family’s church on Christmas Eve after battling drug addiction.
Cannon stars alongside Hall who he is certainly familiar with due to their connection on The Masked Singer. Teyana Taylor, wife of Dancing with the Stars Champion Iman Shumpert, will also appear in the star-studded cast including Akon, Lil’ Kim, and Bobb’e J. Thompson.
“I’m excited to bring all the uplifting elements of Gospel, Hip Hop, and comedy together with such an inspiring and talented cast,” Cannon said in an interview.
VH1 Adds Christmas Lineup of Naughty or Nice Films
Cannon is no stranger to stepping behind the camera. The former America’s Got Talent host rose to fame in not only by acting, but by producing and directing as well. He wrote, directed, and starred in the movie She Ball that was released in Summer 2021. His latest work, Miracles Across 125th Street, will air as a part of Vh1’s Naughty or Nice slate that is meant to sex up the holidays.
Joining Cannon on the Naughty or Nice slate will be another mainstay across our talent fandom. RuPaul’s spicy new holiday film The B*tch Who Stole Christmas premiered Dec. 2 and can now be streamed. Drag Race contestants such as Peppermint, Kitty Myua, and Jan Sport will also make an appearance in the film.
Cannon will have his hands full with the promotion of this new movie, hosting his daily talk show, and hosting the upcoming finale of The Masked Singer. The Dec. 15 finale will see the Bull perform against the Queen of Hearts for the Golden Ear Trophy.
If the Bull does turn out to be Miracles Across 125th Street actor Todrick Hall, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a sneak peek of the film during the show. Hall’s connection to Cannon through the holiday film may have just been the perfect hidden easter egg for fans of the music competition show.
