Season 14 American Idol runner-up Clark Beckham is further proving that he is a multitalented musical genius. The Tennessee native just produced and arranged Season 19 contestant Hannah Everhart’s entire album. Her first single is a cover of “Give You Blue” by Allen Stone.

Clark posted about producing Hannah’s “stripped down, single take only album” in an Instagram post. He thinks she “killed it.” A video performance will be released for each song on the album. The video performance for “Give You Blue” was just released on YouTube. The song is also available now on all streaming platforms.

‘American Idol’ Runner Up Clark Beckham Produces Hannah Everhart’s Album

On American Idol, Hannah was a huge favorite on the internet for looking like the spitting image of Katy Perry. She performed “Sign of the Times” by Harry Styles with Claudia Conway during the Duets Challenge. Hannah was eliminated in the Top 24 but not before earning the support of country music fans everywhere. She performed a couple of gigs before teaming up with Clark for this project.

Hannah’s fellow American Idol castmates all showed support on her new song cover including Jason Warrior, Madison Watkins, Mary Jo Young, and Ava August. Clark has been one of Hannah’s biggest fans since she made her debut on Season 19. He posted his own video recaps on YouTube while the season aired on television.

In the behind-the-scenes clip he posted, he gives Hannah tips on how to tackle some vocal runs. If there’s one person who knows how to perfect a vocal run, it’s Clark. In an interview with Talent Recap during the American Idol finale, Clark teased that he had some big projects in the works too. He has released a few ambitious projects throughout the pandemic that show he can pretty much do it all.

“Clark is a very great Christian guy,” Hannah told Music Mayhem. “Like, if you want a nice guy to work with, that is Clark, so I’m just glad that I got to meet him, you know, and that he was the person who helped me with this, because I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else, like truly, and he is a musical genius and you know, we both kinda put our heads together, and I’m not gonna take any of the credit really, because he came up with all of the renditions, pretty much.”

Clark is Now Pursuing an Acting Career

Clark just announced his countrywide tour is back on 16 months after it was initially planned. The tour begins on October 13 in Ohio. Clark previously told his Instagram followers that he contracted COVID-19 in October 2020. He has since made a full recovery and has clearly been back on his music grind. He released his first full length album Light Year in November 2020 and its is unlike any of his other original releases in the past.

“This album is a milestone for me, not only as my first full length album but I’ve found a way to take my Soul/R&B/Gospel/Jazz roots, partner with brilliant pop producers and writers (tagged) and come away with records ready for the radio and pop charts without forfeiting a drop of the creative depth I strive for in my music,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’ve never been more confident in a project.”

In April, Clark announced that he was going to be starring in a short film called An Old Song. He has been wanting to pursue acting for the past few years and is happy to finally get the opportunity. He plays the lead role of former musician Tyler who overcomes his drug addiction through the healing powers of music. Clark wrote that he is “so grateful to be part of this story” on Instagram.

It is not uncommon for American Idol contestants to venture into acting. The show has seen one Oscar-winner in Jennifer Hudson and all other contestants aspire to achieve the same greatness. An Old Song has just begun filming and is expected to be released later this summer. The 25-minute musical drama also stars Alyssa Hanson and Jermaine Purifory. An Instagram post from behind-the-scenes of the film says that Clark “sang his heart out” on set.
