Meet Katy Perry’s 17-Year-Old Country Twin On ‘American Idol’ [VIDEO]

In a brand new sneak peek at the next episode of American Idol, 17-year-old Hannah Everhart is ready to be the world’s next big country star. This small-town girl resembles judge Katy Perry so much that they might even be long lost twins! Check out her audition down below.
Katy Perry’s Country Twin Auditions For ‘American Idol’
Hannah is from Canton, Mississippi, a place where everybody knows each other. She describes it as the “simple country life.” Coming to audition for American Idol is actually the first time Hannah has ever been on an airplane. She hilariously comments on how using the bathroom in the air is just flat-out crazy.
“I smell cow crap, but in a good way, it reminds me of home” Hannah declares before her audition which proves she is likable, very down to earth and funny. For her, singing in front of celebrity judges and being on television is never something she expected. But, she is ready to take on this exciting new experience.

It was then that the producers pointed out that Hannah looks exactly like Katy Perry. “Oh my gosh I get it all the time,” she says. “Every time I go get my hair done, ‘wow she looks like Katy Perry.’ Maybe it’s the eyeballs because we both got blue ones and they’re big.”
Hannah Everhart Ends Up Performing A Duet With Katy
“I just love that twang in your voice,” Lionel Richie says once Hannah walks into the audition room. Hannah speaks about her hometown and how she gets a full slab of barbecue ribs at the gas station. Her twin Katy also eats a full slab of ribs instead of half a slab.
“Are you the country version of me?” Katy asks Hannah. This prompts Hannah to talk about how everyone says she looks like Katy. For her audition, Hannah performs “Wayfaring Stranger.” Luke Bryan stops her during the performance because he feels like she keeps looking around to gauge the judge’s reactions. Hannah then performs the song a second time.
She tells the judges that she originally wanted to audition with “At Last” by Etta James but decided to play it safe. Katy immediately requests for her to sing this song. Katy stands up and sings along, coaching Hannah through the song.

“Cool beans,” Hannah Everhart says adorably after singing her heart out. The judges all let out some laughs. We’ll have to wait and see if Hannah makes it through to Hollywood on the next episode of American Idol. The show airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
