Howie Mandel’s TikTok: “I Just Don’t Like Spending More Than 15 Seconds On Anything”
By now, we know that TikTok has pretty much taken the world by storm. Everyone and their mother is on the app, and that doesn’t exclude our America’s Got Talent judges. Howie Mandel is no stranger to the popular social media app. In a YouTube video produced by AGT, he along with his co-stars, explains the thought process behind their 15-second masterpieces.
“Whether I’m dancing, whether I’m acting like an idiot, or whether I’m just standing there, 15 seconds of Howie Mandel seems to be enough,” the judge shares on YouTube.
Is Howie Mandel the King of TikTok?
In this feature segment, Mandel gives his insight on the short form video platform. He has been labeled the “King of TikTok” by the AGT family and it’s not hard to see why. From what we can observe, it seems that the key to his success comes from his willingness to do just about anything for comedy.
“I like doing anything on TikTok,” he says in the video. “I just don’t like spending more than 15 seconds on anything.”
Currently, the long-standing comedian has nine million followers and 168.7 million likes on TikTok. He is a frequent poster, making content out of just about anything. His most recent video duets TikTok superstar, Addison Rae. In this video, Mandel attempts to do the popular “Clap For ‘Em” dance. This is definitely one of the more tame TikToks on Mandel’s page. It’s safe to say, he’s quick to post a reaction video or two.
Mandel is also one to include his fellow AGT co-stars in the action. Heidi Klum can actually be spotted frequently on his page. In one video, the two are shown being goofy, dancing to Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison.” He also features Klum in a video where he pretends she is her Uber driver. She did receive a five star rating from him though. In one of their most viewed TikToks, Mandel also gets some modeling advice from Klum herself. She teaches him how to strut down the runway, as he rocks a pair of thigh high boots. Classic Howie Mandel for you.
The Comedian Off the App
When the comedian isn’t posting TikToks or filming America’s Got Talent, he can be seen performing stand-up. Recently, Mandel decided to get back in the saddle when it comes to performing live. He made his return to stand-up at SuperNova Comedy in Los Angeles. Mandel has also announced his upcoming tour. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a harsh toll on comedians in the industry, and he is excited to be able to perform once again.
In the mean time, you can also get a full dose of Howie Mandel on Instagram.
“Instagram, those are mostly just my beauty shots,” he said jokingly on YouTube. “It’s just about fashion, and when you have this (he points to his face) I mean, I just share this with the world.”
In his Instagram bio, he also provides the link to his podcast, “Howie Mandel Does Stuff.” You can listen to the show on Apple Podcasts, if you feel that your dose of comedy is running low.
