Kelly Clarkson to Host This Year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting

Kelly Clarkson is celebrating her move to New York City in classic fashion, as she’s set to host this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Clarkson announced the exctiting news on her talk show this week.
Kelly Clarkson to Host 2023 Christmas Tree Lighting
Clarkson shared that she performed for the first time at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony 20 years ago. She said that she would be performing at the event again this year, and this time she’ll also be hosting the ceremony
“I’m very excited. I love Christmas so much. It’s so magical. My whole family is gonna be here, and we are very excited about Christmas in New York,” Clarkson said as the audience applauded her announcement.
The ceremony will air live on November 29 on NBC and Peacock. Clarkson said she would be reminding fans of the date again as it gets closer. The singer won’t have to go far for the event, as she’s currently filming her talk show at 30 Rock.

Clarkson Has Released Two Christmas Albums
Clarkson wasn’t lying about how much she loves Christmas. The American Idol winner has released two Christmas albums in her career. Her first, titled Wrapped in Red, was released in 2013. It featured the single “Underneath the Tree.”
She even had a Christmas special that year called Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale. In 2021, Clarkson followed up with another Christmas album, titled When Christmas Comes Around… It featured the single “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You),” which is a holiday breakup song.
That year, Clarkson had another special, during which she performed the song “Santa, Can’t You Hear Me” with Ariana Grande. The fellow Voice coach is featured on Clarkson’s album.
