‘The Voice’ Honors Blake Shelton with Video to Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary
“Obviously you changed my life when I met you on The Voice my first season, but sometimes I don’t think you realize the impact that you have had on so many other people’s lives on this show,” Stefani said. “A few of your former artists wanted to make sure you know what you’ve meant to them.”
The Voice was just the beginning of Shelton and Stefani’s relationship that blossomed in 2015. The pair have the show to thank for bringing them together. They were each going through divorces of their own at the time and fell in love. They are now preparing to walk down the aisle this summer. In the meantime, they’re looking back at Shelton’s incredible 10-year journey on the show along with some of the most successful Team Blake artists.
Recent contestants on The Voice that joined in to celebrate Shelton include Season 18’s runner-up Toneisha Harris, Season 18 winner Todd Tilghman, and Season 19 finalist Ian Flanigan. Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope and Season 4 winner Danielle Bradberry also applauded Shelton for his incredible coaching on the show.
Shelton has Given His Artists Some Huge Opportunities Over the Years
Season 12’s Lauren Duski, Season 2’s Raelynn, and Season 4’s The Swon Brothers have also all been granted some amazing opportunities after working with Shelton on The Voice.
Lauren got emotional talking about how she was honored to be one of the acts who played the first few shows at Shelton’s venue Ole Red. Toneisha thanked Shelton for opening doors for her which led to an opportunity to work with Nick Jonas. The Swon Brothers are featured on Shelton’s latest album Body Language. Raelynn shared that Shelton and Stefani attended her wedding. Ian and Shelton just released a song together called “Grow Up.”
“I can’t thank you enough for featuring on my new single. Your friendship and insight have really meant the world to me,” Ian said.
Shelton is confirmed to join the coaching panel for Season 21 of The Voice. We will get to see him go head to head with new coach Ariana Grande who is replacing Nick Jonas. Let’s see how the queen of pop and the king of country do when they are going head to head on the show.
