Gwen Stefani is really leaning into her country side since marrying Blake Shelton last year. The former The Voice coach recently announced on social media that she’ll be performing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo later this year.
Gwen Stefani Announces Houston Rodeo Performance
Stefani posted a pair of images on her Instagram account to announce the upcoming performance. In the first shot, she’s wearing a pink shirt with silver fringe and donning a cowboy hat. In the second, she looks a little more like the Stefani we’re familiar with, in a grunge look.
The No Doubt singer posted a cowboy emoji and shared that she’ll be performing at RodeoHouston, an annual event taking place from February 28 to March 20, 2022. Stefani will appear on March 15. Tickets for the event will go on sale January 13 at 10 a.m. CT.
The rodeo’s Instagram account also shared the full lineup of performers. It includes quite a few country stars such as Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, and Luke Bryan. Non-country stars Ricky Martin, Journey, and Khalid will also appear, among others.

Has Stefani Gone Country Since Marrying Blake Shelton?
While the rodeo isn’t a country-only event, it definitely adds to the country cred Stefani has been building since she started dating fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton in 2015. The couple has collaborated on the duets “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere,” as well as holiday song “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”
In 2020, Shelton and Stefani won the award for Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Awards for their “Nobody But You” video. It was Stefani’s first nomination at the country music awards. Before the song topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Shelton joked about his hope for Stefani.
“We’re hoping it goes all the way to the top, for everybody involved, but for me personally to know that Gwen Stefani is a part of a No. 1 country song,” Shelton said. “What is this world?”
