Heidi Klum recently opened up about her thoughts on gaining weight, saying she’s “not interested” in weight-loss drugs like Ozempic. Klum credits her husband Tom Kaulitz for encouraging her to “eat more.”
Heidi Klum Talks Weight Gain, Ozempic
In a new interview with Us Weekly, supermodel and former AGT judge Heidi Klum shared that earlier in her career, people criticized her appearance, saying, “People said I was fat, but when I looked in the mirror, I was like, ‘I don’t know what the heck they’re talking about. I don’t look fat.'”
“I’m not interested at all,” Klum said of weight-loss drugs such as Ozempic. “I’ve gained weight over the years. I’m no longer a size 24 jean. But I think with age, we look better when we’re not as skinny.”
Klum shared that her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, told her, “You should eat more; you would look better if you had more meat on your bones.”
She admitted that she was initially surprised by this, saying, “This is not something you’re told in the industry, ever, because you’re always supposed to be skinnier than you are. When I look back at photos, I’m like, ‘He’s right!’ Proportion-wise, I look better bigger.”

Klum Thinks ‘People Should Do What They Want’
Although Klum herself is not interested in using weight-loss drugs, she understands that there are others who find them helpful, explaining, “In general, people should do what they want.”
“A lot of people have a hard time getting that jumpstart,” Klum acknowledged, “and if you’ve always struggled with your weight and for 40 years you’ve been trapped and it’s been such a big focus of your life, then maybe this is a great thing to try. That has never been part of my life, so it’s hard for me to judge. If you look in the mirror and you’re not happy with something and you want to fix it, fix it.”
