Reading Time: 2 minutes

Go-Big Show returned to TBS on Thursday for another episode of Season 2. One act had the judges on the edges of their seats as they watched something they’ve never seen before. Manu Lataste, aka the “Flying Frenchman,” took bullfighting to a new level.

‘Go-Big Show’ Contestant Jumps Over Bull

Manu explained that he’s a bull jumper, which he described as “the only sport where your partner wants to kill you.” He’s been injured in the past, leaving him with a broken skull and putting him in a coma for 24 hours. After months of rehab, he kept going, saying his sport is a “veneration of the bull.”

For his Go-Big Show performance, Manu stood in a large pen while bullfighters guided a bull to charge in different directions. Manu jumped over the entire length of the bull several times, doing flips in midair and landing on his feet. There were a few close calls where Manu had to jump over the fence to outrun the bull.

The judges were tense as they watched Manu perform. Rosario Dawson said he had “grace and finesse,” adding that he “raises the bar.” Jennifer Nettles told him that his act “just blows me away.” It was up to the judges to decide if Manu went to the Semifinals.

What Score Did the Judges Give Manu?

Manu was up against a strongman named Jon “Divine Strength” Bruney, who held two straps attached to motorcycles driving in different directions. Somehow, he managed not to have his arms ripped off. It was definitely impressive, but not enough to beat Manu.

When the judges gave their scores, Manu ended up with a 95, while Jon had a 93. It was a close matchup, but Manu emerged as the winner. T-Pain was especially impressed with his performance, giving him a score of 97. This means Manu is going straight to the Semifinals.
