R&B superstar John Legend is bringing his soulful list of hits to Las Vegas. The Voice coach announced that he will begin his 2022 Vegas residency this coming April. Tickets go on sale December 13. The popular hit maker is sure to sell out and is encouraging fans to sign up through his site in order to be the first to purchase VIP packages.

The teaser video shows fans what they can expect when visiting the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Kicking off April 22, the 24-date residency will end its run on October 29, 2022, just before The Voice will likely hit their live episodes.

“The setlist will be a cool, career retrospective. A little more about older songs for my fans from back in 2004 — they will hear everything they’ve loved over the years,” said the singer. “We’ll play songs from all the albums. My whole catalogue — my whole career summed up in a performance.”

Legend first burst on to the music scene in 2004 with his debut album Get Lifted. The multi-platinum singer- songwriter has sold over 10 million albums world wide to date. He has racked up a total of 31 Grammy nominations and 12 wins. In 2015 Legend won the Academy Award for Best Original Score for his song “Glory.”

John Legend Takes Over Las Vegas

“Get ready for Love in Las Vegas! My 2022 Vegas residency featuring your favorite songs from my entire career… full band… beautiful show…magical night,” Legend said in the residency’s promotional video.

Legend recently released the video for his holiday song “You Deserve It All.” Spreading holiday cheer is not the only music that he is focused on. This past November, it was announced that Legend signed a deal with Republic Records.

Fans of The Voice will recognize Legend’s new label. Republic Records is under the Universal Music Group, which has signed countless winners of The Voice. Signing with Republic could have been the push needed for Legend’s career evolution. He joins fellow The Voice coaches such as Gwen Stefani and Kelly Clarkson who have both performed in Vegas. Stefani recently ended her Just a girl Vegas residency with Legend and other coaches of The Voice in attendance.
