‘The Four’s Ratings Are Improving

It’s no secret that The Four: Battle for Stardom has been suffering in the ratings this season. They’ve not managed to get a 1.0 share even. Still, the ratings have been climbing steadily as we get closer to the finale. That’s music to Diddy’s ears.
This passed Thursday’s episode of The Four got a 0.9 share, which is about 2.86 million viewers. This is up a little from last week. It’s not great, but it’s an improvement. It’s only natural, (and is true on all of these shows), that people start tuning in more as things get more exciting. This week’s episode will probably get some good numbers because it is the comeback episode as well as the return of Evvie McKinney and Zhavia.
The truth is that The Four is never going to get the numbers of The Voice and America’s Got Talent. That’s not because of the quality of the show but rather the preferred medium of the audience. The Four’s crowd is younger which means they watch their content online and that doesn’t register with the Neilsen ratings. Hopefully the advertisers keep that in mind.
