Twin singers Max and Harvey Mills recently explained that they don’t think The X Factor should return to TV. In light of the show returning for a series 16 in 2023, the Mills brothers said the return is too soon.

The Twins Would Rather Keep the Show in the Dark for Ten Years

Not wanting a show you competed on to return to TV says a lot about how tough competing on such shows can be. The teenage twins may have had the time of their lives on the show, but admits that the show needs a long break. They think the intense series should instead return to TV in ten years.

Talented identical twins Max and Harvey Mills quickly rose to fame when they competed at The X Factor Celebrity in 2019. They initially started out being YouTube influencers and worked their way up to finishing second place to Megan McKenna.

Their time on The X Factor is memorable. Singing hits like “Can’t Hold Us,” by Macklemore and “Last Christmas,” by Wham! has led them to place second in a very talented lineup of contestants. Behind the scenes, the Mills twins were working overtime on the show by perfecting their performances.

The twins shared about their demanding work schedules during the show. With one of them almost dreading the possibility of the show returning and them having to compete one more time. The twins described the show as both “intense” and “an eye-opener” in 2022.

“It needs 10 years at least,” Max said. “It was fair but intense and there is no other job we’ve worked on like it.”

Despite their wishes for the show to not return in a long while, The X Factor is set to return in 2023. Even though the twins seem afraid of the return of the series, It’s important to note that there has been no confirmation at this time whether the format will feature undiscovered singers or celebrities.
