Former ‘AGT’ Star Evie Clair Welcomes Baby Daughter, Shares Photos

Former America’s Got Talent contestant Evie Clair announced on Instagram that she recently welcomed her first child, a baby daughter. Clair and her husband, Clancy Thomas, announced they were expecting last October.
AGT Star Evie Clair Announces Birth of Baby Daughter
Clair posted a set of photos to Instagram announcing she had given birth. One shot shows the newborn baby lying against her chest in the hospital. Another photo shows Thomas holding the baby and smiling. Other close-up shots show the baby sleeping.
The 19-year-old singer shared in the post’s caption that the baby’s name is Billye Clair Thomas. She was born on April 12, weighing seven pounds and six ounces. As Clair wrote to baby Billye in the post, “you are so loved.”
Fans and friends shared their congratulations in the post’s comments. Darci Lynne Farmer, who won Season 12 of America’s Got Talent (the same season Clair competed on), wrote, “OH MY GOSH SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! CONGRATULATIONS.”
Fellow Season 12 contestants Kechi and Preacher Lawson also commented their congratulations on the announcement.

Clair Announced Her Pregnancy Last Year
Clair and Thomas announced they were expecting a baby last year around Halloween, as they dressed up as bags of ice and made a reference to the Vanilla Ice song “Ice Ice Baby.” The couple was married in December 2021, shortly after Clair’s 18th birthday.
Not long after announcing her pregnancy, Clair released a new album called That They Might Have Joy, featuring 15 songs. Fans of AGT might remember the singer from her time on Season 12 of the show, when she was just 13 years old.
Clair’s father, who was battling cancer during her time on the show, sadly passed away while she was still competing. She made it to the Finals, where she delivered an emotional performance of “What a Wonderful World.”
