Vince Freeman Was Shockingly Eliminated From ‘The Voice UK’

As soon as he belted out the lyrics to the Kings Of Leon classic “Sex On Fire,” the crowd went wild. His soft rocker tone and clear on stage experience elevated the performance to new heights. Vince performed without any shoes on which is a personal preference of his. Coach Tom Jones’s hand hovered over the button and many thought he would turn his chair. The coaches continued to look around and ponder whether or not they should turn their chairs.

Coach Danny O’Donoghue was the only one who seemed to pick up on the energy of the crowd and turn his chair. The other coaches claimed that they did not turn their chairs because they knew Vince belongs on Danny’s team.

Vince Was ‘Livid’ After Being Eliminated In The Battles

In The Battles, Vince was put head to head against Bo Bruce. They sang “With or Without You” in one of the greatest matchups in the show’s history. But everyone was shocked when Danny chose Bo as the winner of the matchup. “I’m basing this decision on who I think will go into the music business straight away and sell the most records,” Danny said before choosing Bo to move forward. It’s not that she isn’t talented, it’s the fact that Danny coached Vince to hold back his voice a little more during the song so that he didn’t overpower Bo.

Nobody was angrier than Vince himself. “I am livid about it,” he told Gloucestershire Echo after his elimination. “I was put in a difficult situation – I could go against my mentor, knowing that I would not go through, or I could do as I was told knowing I was having my hands tied behind my back.”

He also wanted to make it clear that his gripe was not with Bo. “I don’t have
a problem with Bo but I’m not happy about how the situation was maneuvered,” he said. “For me, The Voice has been a fantastic experience for getting my
name out there.”

Where Is He Now?

After his shocking elimination on The Voice UK, Vince continued his established musical career playing as many gigs as he could get.

He also went platinum for his single “Sun Is Shining” in Belgium.

The musician continues to upload YouTube videos featuring original music along with frequent livestreams.
